Celebrating The Victory Day (2019)

16 December, the Victory Day of Bangladesh. In this day in 1971, the Pakistan Armed Forces located in East Pakistan signed the Instrument of Surrender, a written agreement that enabled the surrender of the Pakistan Eastern Command in the Bangladesh Liberation War. After 9 months Liberation War, this day is a joyful day to remember for every Bangladeshi citizens. It's been 49 years we got Victory.
Bangladesh Embassy Yangon has invited all in Bangladesh Community to attend the Flag hoisting ceremony at 8:30 AM followed by discussion meeting till 10:00 AM. The honorable Ambassador Manjurul Karim Khan has hoisted the flag and all of the people in Bangladesh Community showed honor with National Anthem.

In the discussion meeting, Embassy 1st secretary has read the Speech from President and from the Honorable Prime Minister. We remembered our Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, his contribution and sacrifice.

Later Brig Gen Rashedul Mannan has given his speech. He focused on a message of Prime Minister that we citizens need to change our mind with positive thinking. Honorable Embassador has given ending speech and thanked everyone to join this meeting.

After hoisting National Flag, some of our Bangladesh Community took photo with honorable Ambassador Manjurul Karim. 
At evening, an Art competition was arranged by Embassy to encourage new generation kids to know history and culture of Bangladesh. Then  in the cultural program, our community people performed singing, cultural dance. The program ends with dinner organized by Bangladesh Embassy.
